BuzzReach keeps cookie use minimal. We use:
- Essential cookies — required to run the app: they keep you signed in and secure your session. The Service does not work without these.
- Preference cookies — remember choices such as your light/dark theme so the app looks the way you left it.
- Analytics (if enabled) — aggregate, privacy-respecting usage data that helps us understand which features are used, so we can improve them. This never identifies you personally.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell your data.

4. Your choices
Essential cookies are always on because the Service cannot function without them. Analytics stays off by default — it is only enabled if you select "Accept" in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

Some cookies may be set by services we rely on — for example our payment processor during checkout, or a sign-in provider (such as Google) if you use social login. These are used only to deliver those specific features.
